This and That

Yikes.
I have not posted in awhile which means I haven't been crafting in a while which means.... I am stressed out!
School is clearly the culprit.
To satisfy you in the meantime and until I complete a project (I have too many 1/2 done), here are some little tidbits from my home that I have collected in my search to be frugal.

Remember my crafty room? Here's what I've collected.

Here's a little wall montage made from some $1.80 frames from IKEA and some vintage hankies courtesy of Aunt Sophie and Etsy.

I created some postage stamp style paintings one day.

Here's a fun fact. I have a phobia of birds. But I love them featured in decorating. Strange.
And this little beauty was found on the side of the road. There's a story here. It involves my heartless husband. Be prepared.

Scene: Deanne, half asleep, takes the long way driving to work and is cursing herself the entire way.
A forlorn dresser, cast aside like the leftovers from the turkey dinner, sits on the side of the road.

Deanne spies the little gem and illegally telephones her husband.

The Husband grabs a sidekick in the form of a sister-in-law and heads out with his truck to nab the piece.

A woman waits for her mother to arrive home with a vehicle for transport.

The Husband, sister-in-law and woman meet in a showdown in front of said dresser. The Husband roars up seconds before Woman.

"Oh, are you? I mean, do you need?" fumbles Woman as The Husband begins to load the furniture into his truck nonchalantly.

"Yep," says The Husband cold-heartedly.

"I was just waiting for my Mom to get home," woman almost whispers as tears begin to well up in her eyes.

The Husband looks at her, looks at the dresser, looks at the sister in law, looks at his watch and.... leaves.

Thus is the tale of my husband swiping my free dresser out from under another woman's nose, feeling no remorse about it whatsover.

Hope you enjoyed!

Coming Soon (and I promise)...

  3. Good for you on a great score, bad for the woman. My husband would have crumbled with just one tear from the lady. He is such a sucker for tears. He probably would have even loaded it up and delivered it to her. You know as a woman, she was using her secret weapon on him...tears, and it didn't work. I guess he didn't want to face you with out the dresser. Thanks for the story. Decgal
